Flew home from Las Vegas yesterday and still thinking back to the whole trip. Hard to even know where to begin.
I enjoyed meeting so many people who I've known from the forums over the years. It was also the first time I finally met Blondie, Sam, Shari, Justin, and bobbyfk after working with all of them for a long time.
Friday's reception was great - loved the truly professional photo shoot with the models we had. Loshak doing the rounds of interviews is always a good time also.
Saturday's horse racing contest went well and we were really happy to have 28 entrants, exceeding our expectations. I liked us all being in the sports book together cheering all the action on - had the real Vegas feel to it all the way. And a BIG THANKS to Blondie for helping me with the contest that day!
Saturday night's dinner was worth holding my appetite for all day. My mother attended with me and enjoyed John Pizzi's comedy a lot.
Had Sunday to myself and I ended up getting a cabana at the Golden Nugget's Hideout Pool. Never did a cabana in Vegas before and I'd have to say it was an awesome experience! Really felt like the biggest VIP in the world there.
Sunday night, I took my mother over to see Celine Dion at Caesars. Was a nice show - and a lot different from when I last saw her about seven years ago. Golden Nugget even supplied me with a limo there and back after all of my casino play - after leaving the cabana, I had to keep all the VIP treatment going!
And speaking of the casino, I enjoyed playing lots of blackjack with Iwin, Mug and Paco. Paco is a riot at the blackjack table - still remember him sitting there with his gigantic bottle of Johnny Walker Black!
Ended up on the plus side there and I'm sure I'll be on Golden Nugget's mailing list for a while from it. Hope the GN still has money for bobbyfk's paycheck there this week!
Was my first trip ever to downtown Vegas and I'm looking forward to going back again sometime. Hope we keep doing the Bash's there that are in Vegas - it's definitely the perfect spot for them!
