It is better than losing 82k jobs but not near enough to get things going though. Things were much worse the last few years under Bush for sure but that is no excuse now though. What concerns me is the GOP has the same old things to offer to get things back on track. I seen what Romney had to offer earlier and he did have some good points about making energy affordable for businesses and did make sense. I think that is what's important is to get energy costs under control so people can have some money to spend on other items instead of giving it to the greedy oil companies.

And how will it be paid for? More deficit spending? So pretty much mortgaging our country's future to pay off people for the upcoming election? That's all a stimulus really is, using borrowed money to kick back funds towards your cronies.

Yes, and if you are borrowing money at a much cheaper rate than you're making it back, it actually ends up working fairly well
