Nobody is a better talent evaluator of NBA players than Smoke.
The year was 1981, Smoke and I were at Chapel Hill in North Carolina. Smoke had a couple of the most gorgeous college cheerleaders on his arms, and I was there with them.
We were there watching a North Carolina/Duke game.
Smoke pulled me aside and said to me "Tyrone (that's my real name), do you see that #23 playing for the TarHeels? He is only a freshman, but one day he will turn out to be the best basketball player in the history of the game."
I just laughed at him.
He said "Tyrone, don't question me. I know basketball better than anyone."
That player was Michael Jordan.
It's been 31 years since that fateful night, and I have never questioned Smoke again.

Smoke you have to prove your basketball knowledge before people will listen to you. see this is a move that will assist the lakers tremendously and if you cannot visualize that then you cannot be taken seriously.

Steve Nash was better than most PG's last year, yet he is washed up? Did he not just average 10.7 assists per game on a bad team?

Nash is 50 years old. Plays great defense too. OKC should be scared of two-time MVP that hasnt even been to the Finals...

Lakers ARE desperate. i am sure Kobe pressed hard for this...
this feeds his addiction to being scoring leader every game.
TWO FIRST ROUNDERS?? terrible, for a 38-year OLD??
if they don't win it all this year... NASH is 39!??! why squander two careers for a single season.?
HUGE mistake.*

Ratzz needs to stfu he doesnt have a clue what he is saying. he is blowing smoke out of his rear end. this move wasnt for kobe to be the fawken leading scorer of the league,. it was the best PG that would fit in this system and could do the things Sessions couldnt. Now BOW DOWN TO THY.

I like Nash as a player but for a team that was getting toasted by opposing pt guards and felt at the time that the old Fisher was their biggest defensive liability should not of been the same team to land this old defensive liability pg. It won't work out very well for them. Especially for what they gave up to get him.
