#39there are some evil sick motherfukkers on the board you can't help but laugh...before setting up an account here had never heard of a guy
that almost fukked their aunt last night...this place is like a circus and the ringleader wears a 2 dime rug...backwards sometimes.

#41I guess its just fun shooting the shit with people that share the same main interests....a lot of my friends gamble in real life but maybe 1 or 2 of them are the real action guys that SBR is loaded with......Most just casual gamblers that I can't relate to in this area
Also makes the work day fly by, and gives me something to do when nothing is going on during the weeknights
Sidenote: just got home from outdoor bar (Bar A) on the jersey shore and it's fukkin brutal hot.....sweat my nuts off, not even funComment -

Agreed.
It's our gambling soap opera.
Some of the bickering, attention whoring and storytelling telling around here is good for some laughs. That has seemed to take over this place lately. Instead of good info, you have to weed for that.
I'm mostly in the NASCAR forum these days. Good group of guys, and good info in the weekly race discussions. Good couple of weekly point contest in there too.
I just can't imagine not checking in to SBR, I've been here a long time.
Oh yeah. Can't forget the good ol Saloon threads by Dad.
Never the less, I can't remember not agreeing with any of your posts...Comment -

#43That idea isn't totally ridiculous. I think Arizona is gonna make noise, but are still a year or so from making that kinda noise.
I will say that I like your chances better than Indiana or Kentucky or... Siva is a freaking beast, front runner for BEAST POY, and Blackshear, if healthy, can be sick.
Anyway - don't want to send this thread off on a tangent.Comment -

But I'll paint the portrait for you real quick...
Siva has been put in a system that doesn't quite fit him, he's an above average PG who has has his reigns pulled back from Pitino Just like every other PG he's coached, from Edgar Sosa to Tony Delk... Siva is broken (now he's going to have his 10.6ppg, 7.6 apg) but he's so worried about playing the league that he's too focused on his jump shot... Met him, Love him, but It was a complete joke that he needed to be talked into coming back to school...
Pitino wants him to play like Mo Cheeks? HAHA Siva has been spending his off season's with Jason Terry and how does that correlate?
Blackshear will be a notable player, but he's not Jamal Mashburn...
Gorgui Deing and Chane Blackshear could be the best the frontcourt in the country this year, but if they stay one more year after wards they will put a stamp on college big men... Gorgui is almost Anthony Davis and Chane will be a Jared Sullinger that plays above the rim...
Luke Hancook (transfer from George Mason), with his tutelage and all around talent under Ricky P's system will be more well known then Kyle Kuric was under just his last year...
This team is Deep, can play the press for 40 minutes also being a much better shooting team than the squad that made the final four last year...
Combine that with having no superstar team this year, will have us cutting down the nets...Comment -

#50Chalky dog, what does Arizona non conference slate look like? I hope it is tough as shit because I can't see the PAC 12 conference slate testing and preparing them well enough for the tournament.
As for Illinois, I don't care how many we lose, I will just be glad to see a better pace on offense and Bruce weber out of town.Comment -

To this day, when I bet on or against L'ville, I look at who the ball handlers are for the other team. That damn press.
BTW, Jason Terry is a fantastic guy to be hangin' out with. Especially if you are an aspiring undersized scoring option.Comment -

I'll never forget when we played Illinois in the Final four and D Will shut down F Garcia, but before that they had that crazy comeback against chalky wildcats in the ELITE 8!...
Down by like 8 or so with around 2 minutes left and they just got everything to go their way...
F Garcia was such a stud that year, I'll never forget the job D Will did on him during that game... I watched every minute of the Louisville for the last 20 years and that defense was bar none...
But then you guys wasted in the finals, and just looked dead...Comment -

That fukkin' press. Still makes me cringe. It is strange, I should hate L'ville and Pitino for that sweet 16 beatdown you put on us. So goddamn pathetic. But we were thoroughly outclassed, and had no business still being in the tournament.

I had us in the elite 8 no problem filling out my bracket, but was so scared of your squad...
Forgive me, but I believe it was Chase Budinger and Jordan Hill and WTF, I can't remember pretty drunk right now, but anyway I remember we won like 96-69 or some crazy score like that...
As Much as I like Seth Miller ( I Think that's his name from xavier) I can't see the program getting back to where Lute Olson had it...Comment -

Illinois was actually down 15 with 4 minutes left at the lowest point against Arizona. Easily one of the most amazing comebacks of all time. Was ridiculous and I'm sad I missed it in person. Don't even get me started on that finals game. Augustine fouls out in literally 8 minutes of play so Sean mays fat ass has a field day and Illinois shoots like shit from 3 and still almost pulls off the comeback at the end. That game made me question whether sports were rigged for the first time.Comment -

It will be hard, but if Sean stays as long as Lute it will be better. Lute wasn't the greatest come tourney time. Sean is another beast all together. All ready bringing in better classes. The only class that comes close is the one that never happened that had Brandon Jennings.
As much as I hate to say it, Lute severely underachieved.
That 2005 game picker is talkin' about took Lute out forever. That game hung over the program, and it was never able to recover. Certainly not Lute. Biggest choke I ever witnessed. It was made worse by the fact that I grew up in Illinois, an my whole family are Illini, and they rubbed that shit raw. Still do.
But I digress.Comment -

#61That team had Chase, Jordan Hill and a perfect college PG in Nic Wise. Also had a Burger boy turned role player by injury. The problem, it was right smack dab in the middle of the Lute Olson drama, and we had a radio announcer as a coach in Russ Pennell.
