Jonathan Alter, whom nobody can ever accuse of being unfriendly to the president's cause, went on MSNBC and roasted the speech over a slow flame. He found it "long-winded," and called it "one of the least successful speeches" he'd ever heard the president give...
Later , Alter tweeted

It was sad
He is digging a hole deeper and deeper
I think it would be smartest of Obama to keep his mouth shut and let the media do his bidding.

frogs , i'm not speaking of the speech being good or bad
I'm shocked at the response afterwards from msnbc , newsweek and others - usually they say "HOME RUN" or "HISTORIC" or "BEST EVER"

The fact that Sam's first thing he does when he gets home, is scour the "liberal" MSM to see (and hope) for any bad reactions to a speech - is pretty sad.
Did you think at this point in your life Sam...you'd spend it obsessing over this stuff?

Exactly, which is why I say he should keep his mouth shut. If even his propaganda arm(the media) is turning on him, that should be a hint to quiet down.

Obama cant shut up , he loves the attention too much but he cant be happy with today tho
BTW-- notice how the Obama Bots attack Sammy - what did Sammy do
If President Obama didn't look especially happy for most of today's speech in Ohio (he scowled through a half-dozen applause lines), it was because he probably wasn't.
The runaway narrative of Thursday will pit Obama's long, explanatory, mostly grim Cleveland speech in the afternoon vs. Mitt Romney's brisker, more animated delivery a few hours earlier in Cincinnati.
Obama's speech was a shaggier, more of a work in progress

A dream scenario for any incoming President is to have control on Congress and a filibuster proof majority in the Senate.
Obama had this dream scenario for 2 years, and promptly began to add trillion after trillion to the national debt, and forced government run health care down our throats.
Compare that to Ronald Reagan coming in to clean up Carter's mess with Democrats holding a large majority in the House and Senate that much more impressive. Of course Reagan's tax cuts led to quadrupling revenue to the treasury and Democrats couldn't help spend it faster than it came in.
Bottom line is both Reagan and Obama got elected by blaming their predecessor for the lousy economy. Difference is Reagan actually had the economy rolling after 3 years and Obama has made it worse after 3 years.
