By the way, I was working full time during school... wasn't a great paying job, but I did make 52K per year with benefits WHILE in school working for the bank. I assume you made more than 52K per year, but even you'd have to admit getting a degree while making 52K per year would probably be the more financially sound decision.

You love to paint me as just some kid who accepts handouts, but I worked pretty damn hard. 16 hours of school per week and 40 hours of bullshit at the bank.

What you're saying is not accurate. If the success rate of small business was truly 1.9% like you are claiming, people wouldn't start them at all. It isn't that bleak and your generalities are misguided.

I never lost scholarships, and yes, I had to get a great score on the LSAT to even sniff a school like Northwestern. So I spent the 2 weeks before the test cramming and delivered. Most Northwestern people probably had 3.9's and 4.0's....overly ambitious bastards.

Hell, I had an offer after undergrad to work as a 'financial analyst' for a local mortgage company. Pretty good pay, but part of the job description was calling dead beats and threatening them to pay their mortgage. No thanks.

I always figured a high ACT gets you into a good college...Then I thought they had expectations of you at college or they pull your scholarship. Now I realize that 3.2 is decent, but I would think that if they were paying you 5-10K a year to attend their school, they'd expect you to be near the top? yes i was waiting for that where did you get your initial money to invest????? and you have already paid that back and are making 100k profit???? you tell some terrible stories. you really cant find a decent franchise for less than 200-250k that will generate you 100k profit over 5 years let alone 2

I never said I got a 3.2... but I see your point. I had 3 different scholarships and they all had different requirements. One of them you lost if you had 2 consecutive semesters with a GPA of 3.0 or below. One of them you lost if your GPA ever fell below 3.0, the other I don't even remember what the requirements were, it was the one pretty much everyone got (Lottery Scholarship).
