Vlad Guerrero gives up on comeback. A sure fire hall of famer?
According to Mike Wilner of Sportsnet Radio The FAN 590, Vladimir Guerrero has apparently decided to give up on his comeback.

Vlad signed a minor league deal with the Jays about a month ago and has been working his way up the organizational ladder since. After going 9-for-20 in four games with High-A Dunedin, the 37-year-old batted .303 (10-for-33) with two doubles and a triple in eight games with Triple-A Las Vegas. It appears that he wanted a promotion to the major leagues, but the Jays weren't prepared to give him one. If Vlad calls it a career, he'll finish with a .318 career batting average to go along with 449 home runs and 1,496 RBI. He's a sure-fire Hall of Famer.

I agree. We have entered an era where all the offensive machines from the steroid fueled years are filtering into retirement. I don't care so much about the steroid use, but you should have to be above and beyond your peers to get into the Hall. I was surprised that this guy labeled Vlad a sure fire Hall of Famer.

Hate this guy. He came out of a Mets game/lockeroom area about 10 years ago to leave the game. He was nasty to the people that pay the tickets and admired him. Good fukking riddance. This just tells me that he's the b^tch that I thought that he was. No heart

I implore everyone; don't support this player. A huge phony....

            pedro martinez
            paul konerko
            vlad guerrero

could have signed him for a few thousand dollars... but they signed his brother "corky" instead due to their policy that only one brother becomes a star. well i guess they were right.

Will be broke within 4 years.

actually he pays 25K per month on child support, but has over 25million in guaranteed stocks, and bonds secured in his bank. 25 x 12 months = 300K / then 300K x 18 years(OVERestimating time left until childrens adulthood) = 5.4 million in total child support payments.

He didn't call it quits, he just decided to part ways because simply he was denied entry to the majors by the blue jays because they had to space for him. What do you expect, him to keep waiting till september to play and wait till someone gets injured?? He can still play at a major league level and he doesn't want to wait any more to get it in..

The decision to convert cash into stocks and bonds is indicative of great advisors, and financial intelligence.
