According to Mike Wilner of Sportsnet Radio The FAN 590, Vladimir Guerrero has apparently decided to give up on his comeback.
Vlad signed a minor league deal with the Jays about a month ago and has been working his way up the organizational ladder since. After going 9-for-20 in four games with High-A Dunedin, the 37-year-old batted .303 (10-for-33) with two doubles and a triple in eight games with Triple-A Las Vegas. It appears that he wanted a promotion to the major leagues, but the Jays weren't prepared to give him one. If Vlad calls it a career, he'll finish with a .318 career batting average to go along with 449 home runs and 1,496 RBI. He's a sure-fire Hall of Famer.
