Even at 100% Seebohm destroyed everyone to qualify and Missy prob. wouldn't win.

Shiwen Ye now -700 to win the 200m IM after the heats this morning. She was -133 last night before the event began. Could not pass this up after her performance in the 400 IM. Chinese girl is probably cheating, but money is money

Hmm. 100m womens breathstroke should be interesting. Meilutyte -126 and Soni +127. I think Soni has left something in the tank so far. The South African appeared to go all out in both her swims. The 15 year old has come out of nowhere and the thought of someone that young winning an event of this magnitude is mind boggling. I lean to the US captain Soni at that price. I think Soni tracks Meilutye down with 5 meters remaining. Should be interesting. Very small play on Soni +127

While the books are definitely overreacting to the prelims results (Phelps NEVER gives close to full effort in preliminaries of the 200 fly), my point still stands at how taking Phelps at -600 was insane. The time to take the field has long passed. When I posted that, the field was at +450, and I'm wishing I put a little more on it...

ramones do you have a read on Beach Volleyball?? I think Misti May- k.walsh will win big vs K.KOLOVA & M.SLUKOVA... I think its a lock they win but -520 is alot... Any thoughts?

I locked in Phelps @ +130 for 200m bf. He knows the 2 bf events + 1 relay are best shots for gold.
I think he can throw down in the 1:52-1:53 range. No one so far has ducked under 1:54.

That was by biggest odds winner. I'm on Cesar Cielo small at +715 so that could be the biggest.

That was a really good idea grabbing Phelps +130 in the 200 fly after prelims, because as I pointed out in another thread, the odds will be lowered considerably after semifinals (they are now at -110, still pretty generous). Nothing for Phelps has changed since before the meet, when he was around -500 to win the 200 fly.

I feel really good about his chances in the 100 fly and we are still getting great odds on that.

That Soni swim was just a bad beat; nothing we could do about that one. Maybe she will cruise prelims in the 200 breast and we can jump all over that when the books adjust the line too much!

He has an excellent shot. Yesterday wWith a relay start, he split 46.7, which is about a 47.2 from a regular flat start. Magnussen's best time is 47.1, and is swimming very poorly so far this meet.

I think there is very good value in taking the field (-130 at 5dimes right now and +160 at sportsbook.ag as someone else pointed out)
