I don't think so, he was the first player to sign an extension under the Derrick Rose rule a couple years ago, where he gets paid like a 7 year vet at year 5 and the team locks him in to a longer extension.

Yeah, he signed the max right when he was eligible... unlike those scrubs Wade, Lebron, Bosh, he was happy with his team and signed a max extension.

While LeBron was going on about his "decision" - KD signed and announced his signing the max on twitter.

KD > Bron as a human being.

So because the media went crazy about LeBrons decision that makes him a bad human being?

But since no one gave a fukk about KD's extension so that made him a better person? unreal

Nobody forced Lebron to take an hour of air time to promote where he was signing. Very arrogant move.

                        Yes. 100x yes.

I had a general dislike of LeBron, because I was a Bulls fan. But when I saw him not only hold that disgusting event, but then to flip off the fanbase that gave him so much, it was disgusting. Then he proceeds to go into Miami with an intro fitting of a WCW main event. Fukk Bron.

LeBron and KD, 1 and 2 in the NBA - no question. One acts like a Prima Donna, the other acts like a humble human being.

Can't disrespect Bron's game. Most physically gifted athlete this sport has ever seen, and probably one of the most physically gifted athletes since Jim Thorpe. But, he does have control on the way he acts - and in that regard, he is a pompous ass.

I have no respect for that.

Scrub's just a broad adjective that I use. Obviously they're great basketball players, but Durant decided to be loyal to his team and not sign a shorter deal where he could opt out. Unlike Lebron, he had the balls and the heart to stay and be the face of a franchise.

                              Great trade for the Magic.

That destoys OKC's depth, but adds a dominant big man, and all of a sudden, they have top 5 talent at every position.

                              Durant top 2 SF
                              Howard top 2 C
                              Westbrook top 5 PG

Great for Orlando, terrible for OKC.
                                Howard all flash, no fire.
OKC on championship track, why mess with what seems to be working.

While I tend to agree, Howard could have some renewed energy on a competitive team.

OKC wouldn't do that. I'm not sure where you're hearing these rumors.

Ibaka is 22 and Harden is 23. Why trade two good players that are only going to get better?

Why mess up a team that is already challenging for a title despite being one of the youngest in the league?

Lebron and Bosh celebrated like they won a title before they even played a game with the Heat.

The ESPN special. WWE like intro, ect.

Durat just makes game winners like its nothing. Then acts like its not a big deal.

Just look at this thread. Most people probably don't even know Durant signed a long term deal with OKC because he didn't pull BS a lot of these players do. He signed the deal and stayed loyal to the team and fans. Stayed quiet and went about his business.

Durant is a perfect fit for OKC.

He has already hit a game winner against Dallas in the playoffs. A game winner against the Lakers in the playRoffs. And took over scoring 16 in a row against the Spurs in the final minutes in game 4.

With the game on the line, give me Durant and you can have Lebron.

most knew about durant's extension, I think.

not sure where John got it from that he's a FA. Maybe some page from 3 years ago.

Gotta love OKC's management....the way this team was built, from scratch pretty much and now is competing against veteran teams and possibly winning a championship. Everyone is a perfect fit in their respective roles in this team. If they can find a way to keep this team together, or most of it, they're gonna be the next Lakers of the West, and will dominate for years to come.

The problem is they won't be able to keep Harden. He'll command too much on the open market.

Ibaka is 22 and Harden is 23. Why trade two good players that are only going to get better?

Why mess up a team that is already challenging for a title despite being one of the youngest in the league?
