Cantor gaming: The bully gets a bloody nose (maybe)
Ya gotta love it! I spotted an article (which I hope the mods with allow me to merely put the link below) stating where Cantor wants to prohibit Wm Hill from doing exactly what they are doing. It's hard to believe, but I am that old that I remember going into the old Churchill Downs and Rose Bowl dives and gazing on guys I considered 'gods' like Bob Martin and Rosenthal, though I know I was only about 19 or so. Anyway, I think you'll enjoy the article because the sports books of today as we know them—they are a changin'.

Vegas and offshore are both getting worse by the day with all the takeovers, I make one bet it moves the line in half of Vegas because they are all related

This seems very hard to believe.

Also, just keep it on the dl, it's not that hard. Bet over the counter at all the outlier type of books. Stay away from The M, Red Rock, Mirage, Caesars, and just go to all of their non-hub type of books.

I would think there will be 4 owners of books in Vegas eventually meaning 4 groups all books linked too

There are things called computers these days. Hubs aren't blind. Where do you think the actual authorization comes from? It's not from the guy that gets called over for a key.

From what I understand, Cantor and WH are polar opposites in their approaches to bookmaking.

Love getting keyed for a simple 1K bet on college sides. Red Rock(Stations) is a damn joke. They are consistently on the prowl for those that hit a half point advantage, not matter if they are max betting or not.

Obviously. But betting smaller limits and staying under whatever the key amount is at these outlier books ($500 at stations) is not hard to do if you want to get stale numbers. It may take more time, but books are not just letting guys bet stale numbers for $10,000 or whatever. I'm not sure why people even get mad about this. You have to be a moron to think you can just walk into a book and bet some stale number for a huge amount.

If you want to bet large just walk up to the counter at Venetian and bet whatever you want.

It really is not hard to get a large amount of money down in Vegas. I really don't understand how anyone can even imply this.

Yeah. It's not hard to get down "a large amount of money" using that strategy if you want to run to every book in town twelve times a day.
