A brilliant double from Falcao and a bustling performance from the rest of his Atletico Madrid team undid Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League final.


The Colombian, who scored the only goal in last year's final for Porto, swerved home a superb effort before a smart turn and shot doubled the lead. Atletico's Europa win turns violent in Madrid

Thousands of Atletico Madrid football fans took to the streets after their club beat fellow Spanish side Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League final in Bucharest.

But clashes broke out when police tried and failed to stop them celebrating by the city's famous Neptuno fountain.
A small group of fans started to throw bottles and other projectiles at police.
Emergency services reported injuries to several people.
