Bulls playing playoff teams battling for positions.
Bulls/Heat both have a shot at best record in league.
No the game doesn't matter.

Rose wants nothing to do with the Heat.
Even if he plays, he will not be effective.

Um, no. It's in Miami. Miami will be anywhere from -4 to -8 depending on injuries.

Rip Hamilton goes HAM in this game just like last game. Heat have trouble guarding the 3pt line. CJ, Korver, Rip and Deng have a big night.

^ that would be a first, since the Heat have NEVER blown Chicago out in any game they've ever played. (since these two teams have existed in their current form)

Liked the opening total of 188, but sat on my hands. 183 1/2 now, I'll pass. As the season winds down, difficult to commit until you know who's playing. Deng seems likely and he is an important piece for the Bulls. Rose looks like gametime decision and I would guess he's unlikely.
NBA looks like a bunch of whining primadonas after you watch the NHL playoffs. Guys like West giving wet willies? wtf? What's next, wedgies and then manicures on the bench? I was going to pass and just play hockey, but the books have been successful in gaining my interest with Bulls +6. That's a lot of points. I had the Bulls +2 and the extra couple baskets looks tempting. Should be a close game.

Number 1 seed is huge. Anyone who thinks the Bulls are just going to sit back and let the Heat decide their own position doesn't know much about sports.

Wouldn't that lend more to the under? Motivation = tighter defense?

If Heat win they will be 1 game back of the Bulls for homecourt in the Eastern Conf finals IF they face each other which is a significant possibility
What I'm tryin to figure out is if they tie Chicago's record at end of reg season who does homecourt in ECF go to?
Then as far as homecourt for the finals we could have a 4-way tie at 17 losses so who gets homecourt in the finals, I mean this shit is nuts

If they tie I believe it goes to season record against eachother (which would be 2-2 if Heat win tonight). In that case they'd go to record within the conference I believe, and after that they'd go to win percentage.

I'm on Bulls +6 and Heat ML. Heat will win, but I think the size and defense to the Bulls will keep it close

Rose still game time decision. Still think he's unlikely.
According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, it "doesn't sound promising" that Derrick Rose (foot) will play on Thursday.
Windhorst cited reports from Chicago media, but we haven't seen anything to suggest that Rose's status has been determined one way or the other. He's officially listed as a game-time call, with C.J. Watson sitting behind him in the wings if Rose can't play.
Derrick Rose (foot) is being listed as a game-time decision against the Heat.
Contrary to previous occasions, Tom Thibodeau was rather forthcoming and optimistic when discussing Rose's availability. "I'm an optimist, I think it'll be good," said Thibodeau. Rose is reportedly making good progress, but he'll have to receive clearance from trainers before owners can feel good about using him. Expect at least one more update before tipoff on Thursday night.
