#37obama is winning independents, and basically doing great in every other segment of the poll.
like i said before national polls are meaningless. i would be saying the same thing if obama was up 5, its all about the battle ground states. which obama is winning as of last check a couple days ago in recent polls.
there is so much time left, rommney will f him self up. just a matter of time.
According to this poll (which is suspending Obama's 60% chance on inTrade), Romney voters are less enthusiastic in April than they were in January. Really? Now that he's finally nabbed the nomination, they've lost interest - as Obama has been floundering?
That's almost as farfetched as Obama having an edge with independent voters in every swing state. What a joke! I don't buy it for a second.
The national media does everything it can to bury negative stories about Obama from the public dialogue. But sooner or later, Obama is going to have to answer for his awful record as president.Comment -

#40Then I am a severely, severely, severely, severely, severely right wing crazie. I could of sworn he said he was going to work with both parties and "change" the way business is done in Washington. Maybe I was so far right I was a zombie when he said he was the guy of change. Only problem is I voted for him. I'm down for change, but kind of draw the line at socialism and spending us into bankruptcy. We need to go back to where we were before Mr Change's amateur hour presidency started. He is the worst president in American history imo.Comment -

#41Mitt Romney has emerged from the Republican primary season with the weakest favorability rating on record for a presumptive presidential nominee in ABC News/Washington Post polls since 1984, trailing a resurgent Barack Obama in personal popularity by 21 percentage points.
Thirty-five percent of Americans see Romney favorably, while 47 percent have an unfavorable opinion of the former Massachusetts governor. He's the first likely nominee to be underwater -- seen more unfavorably than favorably -- in ABC/Post polls in eight presidential primary seasons over the past 28 years.
Romney's gender gap in vote preferences in an ABC/Post poll last week -- he trailed Obama by 19 percentage points among women -- is reflected in his new favorability scores as well. Just 27 percent of women see Romney favorably, compared with 44 percent of men -- his lowest rating to date among women, and highest among men, in a dozen ABC/Post polls since September.
Obama, by contrast, has no such gap between the sexes; he's seen favorably by 56 percent of Americans overall, including 58 percent of women and 53 percent of men, surpassing Romney in both groups.Comment -

#42How much money has been spent on wars (that Bush started, and otherwise) and how does that compare to this Socialist spending (then let's look at what Obama has added, to what already existed). What program, initiative, bill, law ) have Republican allowed him to enact or better yet worked with him on ? Bush is hands down the worst president this country will EVER see.Comment -

#44Yep, the R are much better communicating to their base. Just think about it, they can back an idea that the rich should not pay more and get away with it. For years they blatantly got away with race bias under the states' rights bs, they backed wars Vietnam and others with national security bs, they have millions of people convinced that 97% of scientists are lying and engaged in junk science. This takes some serious slick talking and some seriously stupid people.

#45He didn't say in 08 if the republicans work with me I will be the President of change. He said he would unite us. Has he? When he says if he had a son he would like Treyvon is that uniting us? When he spends days and days trying to pass a tax that will raise less than a days interest on just the money he has blown through is that the "change" he was referring to? He had his chance. He is not able to change anything and has no new ideas. He can't even get a budget approved. Let's try someone new, couldn't be any worse.
It always strange how a group of old white men(tea party) became stronger when a black president came into office, blaming him for everything....knowing damn well he had a depression on his first day of office, which a dumbfukk left behind.
So dont blame him for not uniting people, blame the right wing propaganda machine.(and obamas skin color)

Once the campaign heats up and voters start to decide who they're going to vote for - the conversation will have to, at some point, turn to Obama's record on the economy - and Romney is going to win in a walk.
And if you want a glimpse into what's really going on, Obama is not only behind his 2008 fund raising levels, but won't get near what he bagged the first go round. Enthusiasm will be down for Democrats and anyone is daydreaming to think the GOP won't rally full force behind Romney.Comment -

#48Obama has an easier path to 270 Electoral votes than the Flipper.
Reuters has Obama currently having a total of 243 Electoral Votes projections that are solid blue.
Flipper has 199 solidly red.
All Obama needs to do is win one toss up state & he's the WINNER WINNER !!!!!!!!
PPP Poll out today has Obama 50 Flipper 45 in Floriduh !
Obama has Ohio in the bag because of Kasich's anti worker laws, if he so chooses to lose FL some how.
He also has Pennsylvania in the bag, since the GOP in congress chose to vote against the President's Jobs Act, which would've put alot of quakers back to work.
So basically, all Obama has to do is win 1 of the 3. lololololololololol.

In April 2010, Democrats ignored political realities and clung to hopes provided by polls that they would retain control of the House and Senate. (Unlike 2012, Republicans were defending more Senate seats than Democrats ... in November the Democrats will be playing defense in Senate races)
That election was a referendum of Obamacare, unemployment, and the economy.
Not that Obama has been listening - because unlike Clinton after getting shellacked in his first mid-term election, Obama has changed nothing of his leadership style.
Not a single lesson has been learned and few are better off than they were in 2008, many are worse. Obama is going to get his a$s kicked.
My biggest laugh is the only thing Obama's defenders here can say is that he's "likeable".
Well, when it comes to presidential elections, history shows ECONOMY > likeable.
Every time, no exceptions. And Obama is going to get his a$s kicked defending his socialist policies against Romney, who knows more than a thing or two about economics.Comment -

On the other hand however, if the economy continues to be down, and continue falling, Obama may go down as one of the biggest failures in US History.
It's the economy stupid. And with all the debt that the US has amassed (many of it under him) he has really put himself in a pickle.Comment -

#60From Bernanke's prepared remarks:
"By definition, the unsustainable trajectories of deficits and debt that the CBO outlines cannot actually happen, because creditors would never be willing to lend to a government with debt, relative to national income, that is rising without limit. One way or the other, fiscal adjustments sufficient to stabilize the federal budget must occur at some point. The question is whether these adjustments will take place through a careful and deliberative process that weighs priorities and gives people adequate time to adjust to changes in government programs or tax policies, or whether the needed fiscal adjustments will come as a rapid and painful response to a looming or actual fiscal crisis. "
The scary part is Obama has no plan except to tax millionaires and raise .2% of what's needed. He will spend his whole campaign trying to burn this in to make political brownies while we slip deeper and deeper into debt. Obama has no idea how to head off the coming "looming or actual fiscal crisis" that the liberal Fed Chairmen is trying desperately to warn him about. Nothing against the man he just doesn't know how to stop the bleeding.
I think Obama feels if he just ignores it and the liberal media runs some cover by ignoring it he can get reelected and he'll be out of office before the US sinks into complete depression.Comment -

And by saddling the country with insane levels of debt, Obama is ensuring that any "move" in the right direction (been reading about this moving in the right direction for about three years now, btw) will be inconsequential.

#70Not a big Obama fan but anyone who votes for this shitbag on the right after doing bullshit like this to workers of this country is nothing but a ignorant shitbag himself. Imagine having workers in this country voting for a guy who's company pulled shit like this to Americans.
In 1993 Bain acquired the Armco Worldwide Grinding System steel plant in Kansas City, Missouri and merged it with its steel plant in Georgetown, South Carolina to form GST Steel. The Kansas City plant had a strike in 1997 and Bain closed the plant in 2001 laying off 750 workers when it went into bankruptcy. The South Carolina plant closed in 2003 but subsequently reopened under a different owner. At the time of its bankruptcy it reported $553.9 million in debts against $395.2 in assets. It was charged later that Bain had taken $58.4 million out of the company in profits while saddling with debt and underfunding the employee pension by $44 million.[Comment
