WOW! 3rd rounders??? Wonder if Bears will also sign Eddie Royal. Why not, I guess. Denver offense circa '08 with Matt Forte and that Bears defense (about to sign Super Mario?).
What does this portend for Miami?
Cutler and Marshall have had an open lovefest on Twitter for awhile now. They will be happy.

If the bears get Mario too game over. Best defense in the league, top 3 RB, elite wideout finally to go with cutler. Unreal. Bring on green bay.

3rd round pick in 2012 and 3rd round pick in 2013. Even "less" than I thought. Very surprised it didn't cost more. I think Bears will still hope to land Floyd in the first round. Marshall, Floyd, Bennett and maybe add Royal would go from a pathetic receiving corps to a possibly dynamic one.

Miami needs to get rid of Ireland. This guy is a bum who has destroyed the Dolphin's organization or it could be they are doing this to lure Peyton Manning here.

The move was made because Peyton didn't want a diva. It's essentially Manning bait. If he comes he can pick whichever WRs he wants (thinking Wayne and Garcon).

hes part of the problem theve had landing a big coaching name(harbaugh/fisher)....fisher wanted control....ross doesnt want ireland to concede any as far as personnel...irelands track record so far is moderate at best
marshall will be reinvigorated with a competent quarterback....the same way randy was when he got out of oakland and that jv operation/outfit they were running

I thought marshall would be worth more than 2 3rd round picks
Manning didn't want Marshall-- Sources last night told Shawn Zobel of Draft Headquarters that Peyton Manning did not want to play with WR Brandon Marshall. Thus, it appears the Dolphins are making moves to make Peyton happy. If you're a Dolphins fan/management, you have to hope this doesn't blow back in your face.

Not only that, but his career took off hand in hand with Cutler's and he had his best seasons/games with Cutler. Consecutive 100-catch seasons. And he turns 28 this week, certainly not old. I believe he's got 2 years left at just over $9 mil per. Imagine if he was on the open market right now - 2 years/$18 mil would be laughable. He'd probably get $50m+. So he's a bargain too. Vincent Jackson will get way more and Marshall is a better bet.

Not even two this year, one is next year's. I would have thought he'd be worth a first rounder easy.

Can see this backfiring big time if he goes elsewhere. Big gamble to take for Miami.

Well even after his dominant year in Denver they only got two seconds for him.
Thought itd be something like that again, not two thirds.

he is not a good leader and brings a shitty attitude to every team he joins.

Bears defense nowhere near as good as Niners...
Can make argument that Chiefs have better D than Bears...
Good move by Bears none the less...

Right now yea, but if the bears get Mario you have to put them at/near the top.

People say the same thing about Cutler. They clearly worked well together though. Maybe two "shitty attitudes" add up to one good combo.

i am sure they discussed his negativity prior to making a deal.
if he stops acting like a baby and just plays football he will be a great addition.

No doubt. Peppers/Williams would have to be the most dynamic pass rushing duo and Urlacher/Briggs no doubt the best LB tandem. Are you kidding me? Combined with the Bears solid schemes and typical discipline.

The bears have plenty of leadership with urlacher, Briggs and peppers. They don't need him to be a leader.
Like D2 said clearly him and cutler get along well and work well together for whatever reason.

would be pretty stupid to let peyton show hes the boss of a team he hasnt made a ocmmitment to and has no ties to.....there are other suitors...if peyton was 28 years old and had no injury problems then maybe you let him show you hes the boss....not nowthough
