Just think about how big of a square/donkey Daggerkobe must be. USC just lost to an unranked team as a 25 pt favorite (and lost as a -40+ fav last year). Yet he still clings tightly to the belief that USC would be competitive against a professional NFL team, if not win the game outright. USC sends 6-10 players to the NFL every year, about 4 are drafted in 1st rounds Many of them start immediately as rookies.

You think there aren't college players that can run 4.3 and bench 400+? They are a dime a dozen at elite programs like USC, Florida and LSU.

People think the weeding out begins at the pro level but it really begins at the college level. There are less elite programs than there are pro teams. Thousands of high school players trying to get scholarships to the handful of programs that can win the championship. That's why u see NFL teams signing rookies from mid major schools who weren't even great college players because they need bodies. OTOH colleges can sign all the best players they can convince to come.

Just because a team is DD fav means nothing. Oddsmakers didn't think much of the Patriots in 2002 and made the Rams 3 TD favorites. Pats won outright. Giants almost 2TD dogs and beat the Pats outright. Upsets happen everyday. Any good capper knows this.
