    Being held until eternity?
    Getting any phone calls?
Turn up a few 1000 red flags?

Never heard of a retard depositing a gaming cheque of that size into his bank account

Guy requested a 41k cheque from some gaming site and is depositing it into his bank

I have never seen anyone pull such a dumb move in my life

Guy also thinks gambling winnings are never taxable in Canada

will try to find it later

winnings are taxable in Canada if they are predictable and consistent. even if he hit some slot jackpot it's still a bad move

Mathy - Check has been deposited with no issues whatsoever. Good friend of mine works as an auditor at the CRA - assured me it would be a non issue.

If you actually knew what you were talking about, you would know the laws surrounding what the gambling winnings are. Instead, you come on here and act like a jealous prick. It was 43K by the way, not 41K.

BTW: If you want to get a hold of me, PM me. I don't sit on the forum all day (like you do) with my virtual friends. Chances are I won't notice your post.

Now it's your turn, let's see some 5 digit checks/sportsbook balances.

Now it's your turn, let's see some 5 digit checks/sportsbook balances.
The law is simple. Recreational gambling winnings are non-taxable. If you gamble for a living your winnings are taxable. If you have a 9-5 of some sort and won the 43k (my apologies about the 41k -- SBR ******* ruined its search function so I could not find the thread) in an online poker tournament or a slot jackpot or whatever, then it is not taxable. If you are a professional gambler then you are an incredible fool for depositing that into your account. So I am going to presume you do not put professional gambler on your tax form. Even as a recreational gambler I think you're nuts for doing that. There are many clever ways to get sportsbook money into your hands as cash.

I've posted 5 digit balances several times and people just say it's photoshopped. Then I showed my whole betting record risking over 150k at pinn in 2 weeks and winning 50k and then everyone said it was someone else's account, etc. etc.

I will give you credit for having at least 43k to your name (that's more than 99.99% of posters can claim), but I am baffled about why you didn't at least break it into smaller amounts. Why draw all the attention to yourself?

And on a side note, I am guessing you are not really a recreational gambler despite your job -- you should be honest to the government and declare your gambling winnings as income. After all, if you don't then you are not paying your fair share for the universal health care you enjoy so much.

Good last line there, I almost laughed.

I have a very good reason why I didn't break it down into smaller chunks. I am a "recreational" gambler if you want to call me that, despite the fact that "gambling" provided me with plenty of disposable income during my university days and continues to do so (not as much since I have an actual job now). What I do isn't "gambling". I'm not going to go any further than that and yes, I do have a day job, so "professional gambler" isn't what I list myself as on my tax forms.

Anyways, I'm still not understanding your animosity towards me. It seems like you hate me a lot more than I don't like you. Now Opie, there's a clown I despise. However, the difference between you and him is that one of you gets my respect while I regard the other as nothing other than a babbling clown.

I pay sales tax every single time I buy something. I have no idea where you come up with this idea. Even the lotto winner who wins 50 mil doesn't have to pay a dime of tax in this country. Why should that guy get a service he didn't pay for? If they put his fire out why would anyone else continue to pay? The world is not as cute and cuddly as you think. Everyone has to pay for everything -- you just like it better when the government does it.

I highly doubt you are a "recreational gambler". Just because you pay taxes doesn't mean you've paid enough.
