If's it a dog and getting 4.5, I will buy it up to 5. Wouldn't buy from 5 to 5.5. I don't buy points on totals unless I do a parlay. I know the numbers do not add up but its sucks losing by the hook.

value is about beating 1 out of 7 bets losing by the hook (because if the hook costs 15 cents, fifteen cents x 7 is about the price of one bet), so if you lose by the hook 1 out of 8 times on average it's better to not buy the hook i think. need math people in here.

If you have access to like 5-7 book you get the 1/2 for free as you will be able to find a better line
