bellichek will not allow him to guard Cruz. There is a 0 percent chance that Bill will allow this. Edelman was torched on the 3-5 plays he guarded Boldin, especially at the end of the game which nearly cost the Pats. Bill shall see this on film and assign Edelman to a 4th string wideout. Arrington or Mccourtey will guard Cruz obviously........

Why was Edelman on Boldin?

The problem is that its extremely hard to have one of your top 2 CBs covering the slot. The Giants will be able to force NE's hand formationally.

Probably also worth mentioning that McCourtey has been playing safety.
