I have one, but I live in the DUI capital of the nation and got caught by one of the 20 checkpoints they have in the city every night.

Haven't driven drunk in about 4 years. The birth of my son changed that behavior thankfully.
My best friends father is a big lawyer in this area. About 7 years ago I got pulled over with her, my wife and best friends husband in the car. I was LIT. The cop knew it, but my friend said "let me call my father, Mr so and so". The cop not only let me go, but let me drive to our house another block away. I remember sitting in my car thinking my life was over.

Lots of close calls, but I haven't been caught yet. Once I was driving on 8 hits of acid and had the cops tailing me for about 10 minutes, it felt like a lifetime.

Demoted to reckless driving after paying an attorney, although I still spent my 13 hours in the tank for downing a bottle of Jager and driving. I walked the line like a champ and didn't give them any evidence, but I was hammered and I won't deny it.

I got one in May... in one of the most strict counties in the nation. .08, still got the DUI. Lawyer $1800, Tow bill $250, Insurance hike, had to pay court costs, had to pay to get restricted license, had to pay for alcohol classes, etc. Trial got pushed to October, and Lawyer made a deal. Restricted licenses for 1 year.
Definitely expensive. Only time I've ever driven drunk too (although I felt fine). Definitely learned my lesson.

I am pretty sure Milwaukee is, but they don't have those check points yet. So the DUI arrest numbers are down, but the drunk driving accidents are the highest in the nation, so its pretty clear that people in Milwaukee are durs.

Fresno, Calif., tops Men's Health magazine's list of America's "Drunkest" city while Boston, home to the "cheers" bar where everyone knows your name, was deemed the "least drunk" city surpassing even Salt Lake City.

I had one in November 2008.
Spent the night in jail and the food made me sick.
Pops paid the bail.
Tow bill was $190
Had to go to a small hearing with the officer who gave me the DUI. We both gave statements and he lied.
DUI class was about $200
Victim impact panel was about $75 (Horrible experience by the way...)
Took almost 1 year for it to go to court.
I lost.
Lawyer was about $1500
Fine was $385
80 hours community service at an AIDS victim food bank.
SR22. Insurance went up only $40 per month cause I have been with them for years.
License suspended for 30 days.
Had to ride the bus to work for 30 days.
Had to re-take the written and pay the fee for a new license.
License was restricted for 90 days. Could only drive from home-work-school.
It was the biggest pain in the ass experience of my life.

Well, I got the DUI in Fairfax County in VA. They're notorious for sending you to jail without a lawyer. Basically, he kept me out of jail and got me restrictions for license. He didn't do a lot, but did enough so that it was worth it.
