They will hit occasionally (less often than the odds imply, of course) and when they do the OP is a hero for a day, which is the entire point of these threads.

It's the "throw enough darts and one will hit the bullseye" principle.

375 loss off of 2000 profit isn't bad, worth the risk imo .. if they blow them out he's up another 3600 or 5000

You need a new battery for your calculator. Those amounts are not risk/win, there are risk/risk+win.

but what people fail to acknowledge is that his +650 darts were hitting at a phenomenal rate for what felt like 3 weeks straight.

                Looks like he made money...

It's not like he came here and said he knows a guy that bet 100K on a game, claimed it was the "sharp" side, and then we watched his sharp side get stomped with one of the worst players in the league...If he did that would you give him a pass??? The thread would still be on the top of the page...

Roxxy is a good all around poster, posts plays, gives and takes a lot of smack talk...

As a poker player Glitch, you know that variance is a strange animal!

Even then perception and reality are often different things. Plays that are going well get bumped whereas the losers are quietly buried. His recent spreadsheet reset was quite telling, no?

If he posts his plays, that's fine and if those plays include selling points/goals which are overpriced that is also fine but sucking in newbs with lies (there is zero chance that he is a serious bettor) and deception (he has been caught red handed twice 'doctoring' his record in the last two weeks) is a different matter. That is the trade-off with "Attention whoring", you get the attention but with it comes scrutiny too.

the key is to do your own research and make your own picks. Don't follow anyone, but you can listen to their opinions on a game. Rox picks a lot of winner, whether he is betting as much as he says or not doesn't make any difference to me. I could care less about anyone else's money. If people are dumb enough to blindly follow someone then they deserve to be parted with their money anyway. I like rox he seems like a good guy to me and he is entertaining. He knows a lot of information about a lot of different sports. I don't blindly follow his picks, but I enjoy hearing his opinions. To each their own.

To be fair, that is how most Euro books express payouts i.e. the return includes the stake.
