this sounds fine if you can get -3
laying -3.5 for a first half is a recipe for disaster, this could be 10-7 pats at halftime

splitting the bet between -3 1st half and -6 game gives you a win in the bank and a nice hedge opportunity if the pats are up 4+ at halftime
