don't like Collinsworth, but there are far worse (Simms, Buck, Aikman, Johnston, Stockton, Enberg to name a few).

like Jaws and Gruden on MNF, but find Tirico to have an underrated very annoying quality to him. he's very adept at shoehorning any item from ESPN's vapid, tabloideque scroll at the bottom of the screen into any discussion (fkr still finds a way to bring up Brett Favre) and is always focused on how the NFL can make it's rules even more like fantasy football (says "nearly a helmet to helmet hit" or "nearly a hit on a defenseless receiver" a few times a broadcast - no shit, you could say that on most plays). dude is way about his head, knowledge-wise, in that booth. reminds me of watching a game with a chick.

He is very bright in general, and knows football. One of the best ever to come from pro football to commentator, right up there with Howie.

you don't think that Berman is a wannabe comedian? he's ESPN's figurehead. guy makes me want to claw my ears out.

i agree that ESPN generally is better than most, and NFL network is an embarrassment.

there is no excuse for Berman. he must have blackmail photos of everyone from Obama to Walt Disney to Colonel Sanders.

exactly. love Spielman, but he's not good on the mic. he's decent with Urban Meyer, but i have to admit, Meyer is just talented even if i don't like his angle (like going nuts about Brian Kelly's and Bo Pelini's language - cmon, that's just weak).

simms is a complete idiot! always misses the obvious, but points out a qb taking a sack and turning a 39 yd fg into a 47 yd fg is no big deal because its indoors?????? how much football has he watched?
