To be honest with you guys I am more than happy that St. Johns is only down 2 points at the half. A&M has 12 offensive rebounds which has led to 13 second chance points. Not to mention the Johnnies starting the game 1 of 8 and going down double digits early. I think this team is still learning the zone and hope Lavin has them coming out 2nd half playing man to man. Still alot of basketball left. Wish me luck fellas...

St John only made 5 field goals during the entire second half and missing their final 3 free throws. They also went to the free throw line 38 times to the Aggies 3. It was a terrible game. I had no play (said so early in the thread) and looking at the matchup from a 'neutral' standpoint was painful. Ball retention was dreadful (both sides), shooting was woeful and both of these teams have severe limitations.
The Aggies had three chances to bury the game but couldn't do it (yes the refs were hard on them but that doesn't excuse missing three straight layups). St. John's could have won by 6 or 7 late on if they could hit just 60% from the FT line but kept missing.
All in all the marginally better team won.Comment -
