You may play money lines but only between -500 and +500.

Scoring: -110 is risking 1.10 to win 1.00 and +110 is risking 1.00 to win 1.10 and so on.

Post your record along with the play, the line, the odds, and the book. Please use American odds, not decimal.

Using "SBR Book" and "Local" are not acceptable sources and your wager will not be graded.

For MLB wagers, both listed pitchers must start in order for your bet to be valid unless stated "Action" for the game.

For soccer and tennis bets, list the date, time, the opponent and how draws and retirements are to be graded.

Do not edit your post or it will be graded as a -330 loss. Plays must be posted before the official start time.

Why not use the same thread for 3-4 days instead and make it easier on yourself?

even on the days i don't do a new thread i grade the plays from the day before. if i don't, i have a tendency to fall behind, and dread coming here to grade 3 or 4 days' worth of bets.

plus, it just looks cleaner with a new thread every day or every other day in the middle of the week. or if i go somewhere after work or am playing mw3 or something and don't get around to grading until 6 or 7pm, no reason to start a new thread for a couple hours' worth of games.

sometimes it just comes down to whether or not i feel creative and motivated enough to find quirks in records or big bets winning to include in the 3rd post.

Avenger is now 5-0 +5.25...good start noob! maybe it's observational bias, but it sure seems like most of the new guys have gotten off to ridiculous starts.

finally, 1 bookkeeping item: please make sure you are using the line that is open at the time of your post. beating the closer is important, but this thread doesn't track that, only the line at the time of your post. if you want to pick a game for the weekend on say, a wednesday, just post in the wednesday thread with something like 'this game is for saturday'.

usually i'll ask you to repost it in the saturday thread, but i'm pretty good at just copying it over to each thread until the day it's played.

i'm not trying to argue now, arguing with ambien dissolved in my stomach isn't gonna turn out well.

i just get tired of a seeminly daily or semi-daily mis-post, or no juice/line posted or they can't play teasers...then, instead of 'oh, my bad, i'll take the penalty' or 'damn, i'm sorry i didn't know, what can we do to make sure my record is exact' (which is EXACTLY why i do this, to provide an accurate total of bets for everyone)....instead of that i get **** includes teaser*** or someone posting two teams that DON'T EVEN PLAY THAT NIGHT or a stale moneyline or whatever...it just adds up.

i'm gonna go to bed. and maybe today was the day the regs decide i'm wrong, but they've been with me for months now, so i'd really really appreciate some long-time poster in this thread to explain whatever i'm misstating or forgetting to everyone.

i'll probably be sorry in the morning, but when i'm handed a set of rules that need to be followed and then they're not, and the people that are not following them are gamblers who think every highly of themselves...i don't need that after dealing with teenagers all day long.

I'm not a long time poster in the thread, but ever since I started posting a couple months ago, you've been more than reasonable and accommodating.

These assholes who are posting teasers, stale lines, and other BS are out of line, and everyone (especially the regs) know it.

Have the regs made mistakes? Unquestionably. That said, I've taken my cue from the likes of Shortstop, Yisman, and LT. Those guys don't make mistakes, and when they do, they don't edit their posts, they make a new post and apologize for the inconvenience. They ALWAYS use current lines. They try to win their best bet of the day, but they know it's in good fun and keep it lighthearted. They give you points because they know it can be a pain to grade, and it's worth a little reward, however small. That's who these new posters need to take their cue from.

When I play an alt line from Pinny, I take a screen shot and post it, especially if there's a question. And I make sure to post the timestamp from the Pinny page. I try to always use the right format, and post my current record. I never use stale lines, even when I made a real bet with a better line earlier. I'm not the model poster, but I try to be.

As for these jerks who have been playing recently, they've been annoying me as much as the other posters. I can't tell if they are trolls (besides the teaser guy, who obviously is), but I can tell you that I haven't been posting as much because they've been annoying me seemingly every time I open the thread.

I fully support every step you take to crack down on these posters who aren't following the rules. I know it's a balance of trying to allow honest mistakes, but the problems have become so rampant as to require discipline be restored. If a few honest mistakes get penalized, so be it. Put people on notice, and don't make exceptions.

You got to quit taking this sh1t personal man, just grade the correct plays and the guys who fuk up or are just here playing head games, well you can just not grade their plays or even eliminate them from the list. None of the regulars here are going to complain if you clean up the list of the troublemakers and guys who cant follow the rules. Hang in there man youve been doing a great job.
