Remember, the playoff format was changed in 1990, there used to be only 1 wildcard game per conference.
2006 Indy was indeed a wildcard team beating the Chiefs 23-8 in their wildcard game, followed by Ravens 15-6, Pats 38-34 & Bears 29-17 to win Peyton's one and only Super Bowl ring. Your memory is not correct.

2007 Pats 355 pts through 9 games (39.4 ppg), (589 pts through 16 games)
2011 Packers 320 pts through 9 games (35.5 ppg)
Not quite. Even this year's Saints are sitting at 313pts right next to the Packers who only overtook them this week.

I'm not fading the Packers,
I was just simply stating the odds of them becoming NFC champs which is +100.
This is a 50/50 chance which means the op really stepped out on a ledge with his prediction,not..........

No way they break the record. They need to average upwards of 38 points per game the rest of the way, and there's still the snow and cold coming.
07 Pats still the best offense of this era.

Incorrect....the Colts won their division and were a #3 seed. They did play in the wildcard round/1st round but they weren't a wildcard team.

I agree. Chicago is the only team I've seen that gives Rodgers some problems. The Cover-2 limits big plays and Urlacher/Briggs get to the ball & smash people underneath. Overall though....if GB can go on the road and win 3 straight with 1/4 of their guys hurt last year then I love their chances with a healthy team playing 2 & probably both at Lambeau.

Slacker, not sure how you can compare the packers to the saints because the packers have come off the gas pedal numerous times in blowouts. Regardless if they go undefeated and win the super bowl obviously theyll be no debate about who was better between them and the 07 pats.

It seems my memory is fine -the Colts won as a division winner #3 seed & so in the wildcard era it's 7 SB winners & 5 out of the last 14 or 36 %

I agree, zsr. But, the Packers don't bother with 16-0 unless SF pushes them, which is a real possibility, but it's still a tough road.

I guess I always considered wildcard teams were the ones who had to play in the wildcard round. I stand by it. I agree to differ.

Whatever dude-a wildcard team isn't what you consider it to be-it is by definition-a playoff team that did not win it's division. You can agree with yourself all you want it won't change the fact that your wrong.

The cowboys will win it all. They will have a 9 game winning streak heading into the playoffs. There offense is unstoppable now with the best rb combo in Murray and Felix to go with Romo and the best wr combo in Dez, Austin,Robinson and a great te in Witten. Rob Ryan will have the defense tearing it up especially with Bruce Carter and lee in the middle keeping brookings and James off the field. Also our rookie kicker is automatic now. I just don't see how they will be stopped.
I think GB or Giants if they are healthy. They both have the experience and depth.

Would it be a big shock if neither of those teams are in it? Are the giants even a sure playoff team?

Giants won't get to double digit wins. Look at their schedule. I think Dallas gets to 10. They are rounding into form.

I think Giants win that division. And No, wouldn't shock me if either didn't make it, this is the NFL. We already saw the seachickens beat the Saints in te playoffs

That is a sincere promise.
I am absolutely convinced this team wont win the NFC. There will be a monumental moment in the next 8 weeks or 10 weeks that will prevent them from winning the NFC. I think they win one playoff game tops.
Im sure lots of idiots are buying GB futures like no tomorrow thinking they have free money.
Pinny even has GB futures odds up now to sucker people in,
Folks this is the NFL. Things rarely go according to plan.
Teams with Byes always struggle. GB won last year cause they had momentum and played all the 3 playoff games. This year will be a different story. Don't waste money on them.
i dont see value in futures, but since stupid has an opinion i must fade stupid.
