I've been on record as saying Urban Meyer....but after this week and the stigma that's going to be part of the Penn State name for many years, I'm not sure Meyer would want to put himself back into the meat grinder and lawsuits that are sure to follow. The only way PSU could get a big name is if they are given complete control of the football operation, but the fact that a brand new AD will be coming on board I'm not sure that will happen.

Not sure I agree with that...last year PSU was listed as the 3rd most valuable in all of the NCAA...and ranked as a Top 5 job on ESPN

Hers the inside scoop-- meyer was selected by Curly and Spanier to replace Paterno- who was done thus year before the scandal hit- Meyer has been house shopping and supposedly bought some land to build a house. This was All prior to the scandal. Curly will be fired and in jail- Spanier will be fired or resign before midnight tonight. So I don't think Meyer will want or be offered it. Their is going to be a HUGE housecleaning going on so it is wide open. The trustees are not going to touch anyone that curly and Spanier recommended- they are going to go with someone who is squeaky clean and a no bs type coach- plus who isgonna want it at thus point?

This may be equivalent to the death penalty by the time the recruits head somewhere else and current players can transfer without penalty. I'm not sure anyone outside of the desperate would want it. Maybe, a true Penn Stater like Golden could go in there. Whoever gets it will be checked out like never before.
