#2i always just use covers.com to get a general idea. It uses the people who use their site obviously but its thousands of people so it will give you a pretty accurate picture of the public.
covers.com then go to consensusComment -

#5BTW on covers if you go to 'detailed' on the side, you can see where people bet at specific spreads. Obviously the spread has changed over-time. That is neat to see too, to see how much or how little the public has shiftedComment -

Some of the percentages from that are 10 points off from covers.com some a lot closer. Interesting. Would like to know how many people that is based off of too.Comment -

#8Covers is the first site I used for gambling.
I'll also use that site to see where the public is.Comment -

#14VegasInsider, I think? But it tells you percentage, not money that comes in on each team. I'd think that would be more important, maybe?Comment -

#15Money would be much better but no one is giving that info out
I guess books can track percentages and then set up feeds to paid 3rd party servicesComment -

#21I hate to keep agreeing with JJ, because another guy said that he just creates useless posts, or that someone else writes his posts when he is in Buffalo or Vegas, but he is right again in this post, and I'm not saying it to just agree. I do think, however, that if you use some of those sites that are mentioned, you should get a pretty accurate number. Of course, you can't expect to get the perfect or actual number, but it should be close enough to suit your purposes. What say ye, JJG?Comment -

#22Those percentages mean nothing as far as handicapping even if accurate, sometimes they win and sometimes they lose
Everything comes back 47-52 percent range and you lose
If the betting percentages on a game are
70
30
you do not know if some of the 70% is made up of guys with a clueComment
