carpenter doesn't go the distance unless la russa is willing to risk destroying his arm for another world series. this could be a possibility. he is in his mid 30s so he doesn't have that many more years left. it's an interesting decision to make.

if i was the manager i would be willing to destroy his arm for the world series considering all of the factors involved.

congrats on hitting it. I don't know if it was a smart play or not. Last fourty years of game 7s'. 13 year of them have been played. Only twice, has there been a total over 7. Some 7s, never over 7. One of those games was an 11-0 win by kc over stl.

If it wasn't for the crazy ass first inning where it took carp a while to get settled in, under would of have it. Usually there is at least one team that is tight as ****. And I thought to start the game, if STL takes a lead in this game early, texas would become so tight. Basically scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st to tie it, did the job too.

Carp didn't have his best stuff, but it did get better as the innings went by.
