TCU (43.6 / 21.9) 5-2 SU, 3-3-1 ATS, 6-1 O/U
let me start by saying I haven’t looked at the spread but I am guessing BYU is a substantial dog and, I don’t think there is any way BYU doesn’t cover an 8+ spread. Anyways let’s take a look.
Ok so BYU is getting 12.5… I’m in love already; I hope the numbers support this. Actually the numbers really don’t show all that much. Outside of the UTAH game, BYU has played pretty solid defense with their worst effort being in a 38-28 victory of Oregon State. USU scored 24 but every other team has scored 17 or less (including a decent Texas offense). The same can be said for TCU, they had a bad performance against Baylor (allowing 50pts) and also gave up 40 to SMU but outside of those 2 games they have held everyone else under 20.
Over the last 2yrs TCU has dominated winning 31-3 and 38-7 (both with Andy Dalton and those outrageous teams)
I just can’t see this one getting out of hand. Both teams are playing well on defense with TCU playing better on offense. I see a final of 28-21 or 21-17... Something like that. TCU should win but this isn’t the same TCU that’s crushed BYU in the past. I think BYU +12.5 is safe

On the over/Under, facts are suggesting all sorts of plays. Personally I think the Under is best but TCU has gone over in 6 of 7 games, BUT over the last 3 years they have gone under in 10 of 12 games in weeks 5-9, while BYU has gone under 13 of 17 times in games played on a “neutral” field…. I don’t know… if the total is 55+ I say under.

BYU is a solid team that continues to improve. They had a quality game beating Oregon St on the road. I dont think they will win but I expect them to stay in it. The +13 seems generous to me.

I would take the points. Dalton is gone and TCU has beaten one team with a winning record this year I believe.

think people think tcu is as good as they were in the past.they are just a good team in a weak division and a bad team in agood division.think byu will cover and maybe with a few breaks ,win it outright

Are u guts nuts??!!! Tcu is in the top 10 for scoring. Houston and Oklahoma st are a little ahead of them in scoring and there killing teams. The plus side is tcu has a D. Not last years I'll give you that but they avg over 40 points and allow 21. Byu scores an avg of 26. Plus there in jerry world tonight. Lots of tcu fans. Byu gets its doors blown in by 21 minimum

Definitely agree that TCU might be overrated here and BYU a little underrated.

That being said. I don't see TCU losing this game. I do see a possibility of a BYU cover. But I wouldn't put money on it.

Since riley nelson has taken the reins from heap this byu offense has gained some life and building some swagger. Now they go up against a much more talented defense though it is still a young unit TCU has back there. TCU is slowly getting better and patterson has owned BYU of late. But the BYU front 7 is stout enough to contain TCUs power run game and that gives them some hope of keeping it close. A lot will depend on the play of Pachal who is daltons understudy but highly touted. That being said im seeing a changed BYU team from the one that was led by the disappointing n ineffective heaps their offense is much more dynamic with the dual threat playmaking of nelson. I like BYU to come out with a lot of fire in this game, and lean toward the cover as revenge and veteran savvy weigh in here quite a bit in favor of the cougs. Edge to BYU +13.

TCU alum here. Think the Frogs win, but I don't see an edge in the spread here for either side either. Over is where I probably ride here. Both teams are still very suspect vs. the pass IMO.

Ummmm...what?? ONLY way BYU wins in my opinion is if this game goes UNDER...as in, if BYU's front 7 controls run game of TCU and is able to keep them from moving the ball and putting up points. BYU offense is just hard to put stock in, in general...Heaps not playing helps the Cougars for sure, as Nelson looks much better...and perhaps that keeps them in the game...but I still think TCU wins this one, OVER isn't a bad option either...but, for the most part, I think Vegas got this one right.

TCU is going to give you 28 points min. There offense is more powerful than BYU. If BYU wins its going over. That being said, I dont play games where the line is this close, so I'm only playing the over. Not the team. I played the Over in both games last night, Houston first and second half and miami game. I did play VA second half so that offset my miami loss.

There are very few plays I like this weekend, I have to settle up every Monday night but we bet on a side similar to sportbook but with a local guy, So its almost seatbelt time.

if I were to bet it, I would say TCU

but the fact that these Friday night games are always screwy scares me..
I think that forcing a bet right here would be bad..

I think a pass would be best on this one for sure
