It's restricted to admins and mods now. How are we supposed to keep the Entitled 7 accountable? Not to mention we can't even see a list of SBR pros. Good role models for the populace to look up to.

Well that explanation isn't simple enough for me to understand.

All of the members lists were removed for your own protection. It's spam bot season - in addition, some pathetic losing gamblers have stumbled upon a phishing URL and use those lists as a means of distribution.

Yes, our captcha is a pretty good one. We do a good job against robots for the most part, but the used car salesman touts, shills and guys looking to infect member PC's are sorta like roaches. Taking those lists off their radar helps keep PM's clean.

Yes, Captcha is good in stopping DDOS attacks.

Did you know if one is found guilty of a DDOS attack, one could get ten years in prison.

CAPTCHAs do absolutely nothing. They're an annoyance to humans. To bots, they're nothing. They've been cracked a long time ago. Bots decipher CAPTCHAs all day long.

Wrong...Many of the words included in Captcha challenges come from scanned archival newspaper and old books. "Computers find it hard to recognize these words because the ink and paper have degraded over time, but by typing them in as a CAPTCHA, crowds teach computers to read the scanned text," Luis von Ahn, co-founder of reCaptcha and Will Cathcart, Google product manager, wrote in a blog post.

Google announced Wednesday that it has acquired reCaptcha for an undisclosed sum – an endeavor, it said, that will help it improve the quality of its book-scanning project.

recaptcha was broke a while ago. It was presented at a black hat conference. I know this and don't even follow the hacking scene.

Perhaps you're not aware of exactly how these bots decipher CAPTCHAs. I stand behind what I said. CAPTCHAs do nothing but annoy human users. They're a false sense of security that people employ on their websites. While they may slow down script kiddies who aren't serious, they do absolutely nothing to slow down the people that buy the software that deciphers CAPTCHA all day long.

Correct. ReCaptcha was broken a couple of years ago. Even the new CAPTCHAs that display a few different pictures, and tell you to click the picture of a dog, etc., have been broken. Audio CAPTCHAs have been broken.

Obviously you guys read too much into my post. Chili said captchas do absolutely nothing. I was stating the fact that they actually do something. They use humans to decode old newspapers and magazines without their knowledge. Captchas do something... they make us free fukin slave labor. Not sure about the security part of captcha, I'm sure you're right about it being cracked. Just found it interesting that I've likely decoded hundreds of old newspapers without knowing.
