Why are male professional athletes promoting fighting breast cancer?

Don't get me wrong I'm not against fighting breast cancer but shouldn't the male professional athletes be campaigning for fighting testicular cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, brain cancer, colon cancer or leukemia instead?

Is fighting breast cancer more important than fighting all other forms of cancer? Not quite sure why fighting breast cancer has it's own month.

And please no mean comments. I am in favor of fighting breast cancer. I just don't understand why it is more important to fight breast cancer than all other forms of cancer.

We all have dads too. Approximately 40,000 women will die from breast cancer this year, I wonder how many men will fall victim to testicular or prostate cancer this year (hint, it's more than 40,000). That said, there's no way the major sports leagues would promote testicular cancer awareness, so it's ok.

Another dumb@ss thread yet again.

I know a couple folks, friends, co-workers, that lost their wives or mom at a young age, under 40. Great to see the awarness is out on national stage, because it probably makes women less secure to see a doctor, instead of waiting until it's late in the stage.

The reason the NBA or NFL probably isn't promoting the other cancers, because this one is more preventable and more likely to be curable verses the other cancers if detected early.
