lets see what hes made of
now that it seems theo epstein is heading for the cubs, they are dancing in the streets on the northside of chicago.if he is as good as people say,i want him to rid themselves of soriano and mega contract.get something for carlos zambrano.and get two top line free agents .im guessing they need some pitching and a good first baseman.would prefer fielder over pujols since pujols seems to get hurt every year.and a good manager who can motivate the veterans and the rookie

they have some good young players so if he gets the right free agnts ,think they could make a run to playoffs, but it still depends if the ricketts will have an open pocket book to bring some stars to town

You go to the Cubs. You are entering the abyss. It will take 4 years B4 this team resembles what Theo's goals are.

Geting rid of those contracts will prove to be impossible. Nobody wants those guys, especially Zambrano. Player development, drafting, and building up minor league prospects are all things that need to be upgraded. Nevertheless those things will take time, b/c up until now the Cubs have been run like a Mom and Pops store.

They have some pieces, money to spend and Epstein coming in will bring a winning mentality. Won't be surprised if they make playoffs next season

Very excited about this move, but fellow cubs fans need to lower there expectations. This is going to be a long process. One player wont fix this mess
