Why are the Flyers such a public play today?
I'll be honest right off the bat - I know shit all about ice hockey. But reading through a handful of NHL threads there are, every man and his dog seems to be on the Flyers tonight.

Just wondering why there is so much love for them/so little love for the Bruins - mainly because I have a 3 team parlay waiting on the Bruins to get the job done tonight LOL.

    Any insight would be appreciated!

I have to say that I don’t understand the revenge angle on this at all. A lot of the roster that got slapped up by the Bruins last year are no longer with the team.

The way I see it is one roster has had pretty much a total overhaul, and the other has had a few additions to a Championship winning team.

The point about a Bruins ‘hangover’ may turn out to be true, but playing at home in front of a packed crowd in their first game of the season as defending champs is more positive than negative IMO.

Seems I have totally misread this one.

People like taking dogs in hockey since it's basically a coin flip match up.

Oddly enough on streak 4 cash 82% are on the Bruins.

Revenge means nothing, this game means nothing in the big picture, anything can happen.

Flyers are serious cup contenders. Flyers will not get this value all year.

Boston have basically the same exact team as last year, so there shouldn't be early season chemistry problems. They have also looked great in the preseason, Seguin looks much improved this year. Philly removed 177 points from their top 2 lines in the off-season and brought in a bunch of question marks and depth help to replace that production, I can see them getting off to a slow start with all the new additions/subtractions. Probably not going to bet it, but I would say Boston or nothing is the play.
