That's the most solid bet you could come up with? I'm not saying it's a bad bet, but there is plenty of more solid bets than that, especially if you're using a teaser. The Saints are solid but remember, they are capable to losing to anyone (remember playoffs) but most likely won't in this case. The Eagles are the biggest concern here. They have big issues with power running teams and don't kid yourself, the Niners have a decent running running game with a decent defense that includes a middle linebacker completely capable of catching a scrambling Vick.

Don't laugh at the decent running game remark. Their stats aren't hot right now for the Niners but they've played in order, teams ranked against the run: 13th, 2nd & 7th. The Eagles are ranked 30th. (you want a lock? Gore over 100 yds). Heavy Gore with long drives to keep the Philly O off the field and the Niner D fresh and this game is mine field for the Eagles.

A good bet, yes, but solid? maybe.

I bet at total of $150 on this as $480 is a big chunk of my roll. But I put your bet amount in for fairness of comparison. But I see this as a more "solid" choice.

But i see the saints coming back to life and Jax doesnt have much to put up I agree that 49ers might cause Philly some issues but they need to be able to stop the run vs San Fran now Smith as QB and the phillies corners might help me out overall i could see philly winning by a field goal at home.

Taxer, I'm an amatuer. don't get concerned by what I say. It's a good bet. Just a little risky for my taste (I prefer a bigger advantage).

I respect Paver, he knows his stuff, but I shy away from generalities. Such as his road faves comment. Go with what you know, not an adage (sorry Paver). Paver likes to tease the underdogs anyways, so his philosophy is different from yours. Neither way is bad, just preference. Both can win in the long run if you play them correctly.

If you start to feel concerned, then do an insurance bet to help cover a potential loss (but will also limit your wins). But if I were you and felt good about the bet, I'd stand pat. This bet can't be worse than 60/40 in my opinion.

I don't see the Niner's blowing out the Eagles but I can see the Eagles blowing out the Niners. Close ball game is anyone's game.

No matter what bet you post, someone will rip it some how, some way for sure. Unless you get extra information that trumps your initial gut, stick with your gut until your gut has been proven to be a long term loser, in that case, fade yourself.
