How Do You Catch A Possum?
I've had a baby one in my garage for a week. Whenever it comes out, I try to shoo it outside, but it just hides, and does not want to leave. Any advise?

you need a raccoon cage...it pretty much catches everything...bait it with peanut butter smothered on bread or tortilla shell... i catch a handful of raccoons and a few possum every year in the summer because they steal the sugar water out of my hummingbird feeders... the possum are much more tame than coons, but still mean as fukk...watch yourself...

unfortunately, they cost a little bit of money

I just caught it 30 minutes ago. A friend of mine has one of those cages from the local animal shelter. I turned the lights out and put some canned 9 Lives catfood in the cage. I heard it scrounging around in the corner, so I laid in the weeds with a pole. It sniffed around for about 3-4 minutes, and finally went into the cage. When it was halfway in, I slammed the door shut on it. My wife told me to keep it in the cage, and we'll take it to a nature resort 4 miles from us tomorrow, but I said the hell with that. It is now 4 miles away from me, and I hope I never see that ugly son of a gun again.

just open your garage at night, turn on the garage lights. wait about an hour and it will probably leave.

Looks like they might have brought a litter in. I caught another one, and my cat is following something around a corner shelf.

When you catch them, just leave them in the cage, tie a rope on one end of it, and throw it in a nearby pond for 5 mins or so. This is what I do. I make a deal with them that if they are still alive after that, I'll set them free. None have taken me up on the offer so far.
