Not much talk about the Rams vs Giants ????
Hard to believe this is a MNF game.... Interesting match up none the less for some of us.

Really like the Giants here. Lot of injuries for both teams. St Louis awful on the road and their is season is about finished. Giants not much better.

I'm a little wary though, ML seems too low. I'll probably grab it and wait till monday to see how things progress.

What's everyone think of this blockbuster on Monday Night.

Hey everybody don't forget that Cadillac Williams is the backup to Stephen Jackson. He's no Jackson but that's not too big of a drop off.

Rams are the better team, even without Jackson. Takin the points.

This game was -6.5, -7 before all the injuries.

Not sure how you can say the Rams are better?? Average QB, below average WR's, Good RB's, Average D. On the road, on grass.

But Giants are not really much better.

With that many injuries, the game is very unpredictable. If Justin Tuck can play and the Giants can hurry Bradford then it could get tough for the Rams. We really have no idea who the Eagles or Redskins are yet this year so tough to judge off last week as well.

Because the Giants suck. Bradford is certainly better than Rex Grossman who lit up the Giants.

Yeah I'm sure Bradford will go for 500 yards 4tds and 0 ints because he is better than Grossman.

Face it, he won't match Grossman. Rams suck too, they'll lucky to win one game the next two months.

Btw, how many games has Bradford had similar to what Grossman did??? Like one out of 17.

Typical 75 rating for the game is his story.

I think Giants win but Rams cover is the realistic conclusion.

How many games did Grossman have similar to that one? Only reason his number might not measure up is his already weak receiving corps is worse after the injuries.

yea redskins moneyline was a huge play for me, which i posted. but i watched the whole rams/eagles game. throwing was way off, no one could tackle, and there were tons of drops of easy passes. giants are always bad b/c eli turns the ball over.

while i agree caddy just doesnt have the wheels he used to the guy is still a gamer and a asset in the passing gm whether picking up blitzes or being a safety valve for Bradford (his tires leaking air no doubt but he is far from being up on blocks, lol). The reason tb let caddy go had nothing to do with his level of play and everything to do with Legarret Blount and it was a mistake as caddy is still a better 3rd down option than whoever tampa using now imho. Biggest thing on caddy is will he hold up for long haul? as of right now he is pretty healthy and playing at a relatively high level. I could make a case that no Sjax forces stl to open this gm up a little which i believe is the best way to currently attack nyg anyway. I could even put a positave spin on no Amedola even tho i love the guys toughness and heart(fukkin guy was lobbing to get on the field this week!!!! nuts but gotta love a cat like that), as i think at times Bradford gets locked in on him to much and forgets about everyone else as he has a high comfort level with him, theoretically this should force Bradford to spread it around more and despite stl lack of gamebreakers at wr they do have plenty of capable weapons. Now the time for Mcdaniels to let them sink or swim.

Nicks is gonna play, he always hurt and has proven to me that he has a pretty high pain tolerance. He gotta be licking his chops to play against rams banged up secondary even at 80% he will give stl problems.

Osi is out Tuck should play. i really believe stl comes into this gm looking to open up the offense, a lot will be on the o-line (tackles in particular) who played like dog shit last week against phi.

Imo it was a huge mistake by nyg letting Boss and Smith go. i mean who the fukk thought it was a good idea to take away a int prone qbs security blankets?? Just dont think NYG is that quality of a team atm anyway, personally think these teams are pretty damn even...We know coughlin is gonna try and pound the rock, thing is this actually plays right into stl hands as their problems are overall defensive speed and a banged up secondary.

Both teams should look to open things up but not sure i trust either to be the 1st ones willing to get it cracking, only takes one to tango here as as soon as one team gets aggressive with both teams coverage issues the other is gonna be forced to come along or get left behind. If this happens all a sudden over becomes a nice play as both teams passing gms will have some success and both also more than capable of giving the opposing team a defensive score or at least set up a td with a bad turnover.

personally think total is pretty damn close to perfect, id lean over slightly but very close. figure both teams to be right around 20 with last score taking it. Just dont see this gm being decided by more than 7, think gmen pull it out but should be very competitive, both coaches know each other very well, both teams wounded, both in desperate need of a W as stl schedule is brutal the next several weeks and they starring at a pissed off ravens team on deck. Gmen can ill afford to drop to 0-2 with a trip to phi next, even tho that seems a lot less daunting with the Vick injury.... In the end i gotta take the 7, if gmen can beat Rams comfortably so be it but they gotta prove it to me. already on stl+7 but am considering doing a nyg/over tease as well.

another thing to consider would be stl +4 1st half as all last season and carrying over into the 1st week this year they have been much better in the 1st half then many times falling apart down the stretch in the second half. ideally rams stick to this and are tied or even leading at half then there be considerable value in nyg in the 2nd half when they forced to go to the passing game, that the whole thing here. I believe nyg can really do damage with Manningham/Nicks but not sure how willing they will be to have Manning slinging it in a gm they prob feel like they can win with a conservative approach that keeps Eli from making the god awful mistakes he is becoming known for, crazy as it sounds stl is gonna have to force nyg to pass which is actually the best way for gmen to exploit the rams .. .

fukk im all over the place with this.

                                                    stl +7 gm

                                                    nyg-1/ov 38 tease

over 44...this is very marginal as i said i have it very close to this, it may even be a point to high but just going with the idea that although both teams rather run, punt, and play d it would be in both teams better interest to let it fly tonight. Hopefully stl can attack creatively on early downs to start the gm and stop nyg rushing attack (certainly believe the latter will happen as rams run d is pretty stout), forcing nyg to go with their no huddle shotgun look that will generate problems for stl. Plenty of potential for over but plenty of risk with these coaches personalities.

stl +4 1st half?? as i said they typically play much better in the 1st half for whatever reason fading down the stretch going back to last season.

Just some thoughts. all i have as of now is 2 separate parlays open, 1 with stl +7 and another that needs over 44 to close it out. that and have nyg in the wife's office pool where im tied with 2 others, one on the rams the other has nyg with me and 43 as total while i have 47...

too many question marks. probably will just take sheen +125 to win.

i think cadillac williams will be productive until he gets hurt. i think he will get hurt in the first half of the season.

Yes, the Rams looked bad, and they were at home...yes, Giants looked bad, but they were on the road...Cowboy's won yesterday, Eagles are solid this year, Skins are 2-0...Giants lose they are 0-2 and cellar in the division...need this win, especially vs. a banged up Rams team...if Eli doesn't turn it over more than once tonight, Giants roll by 10+

they should be in the cellar as they are the worst team in the east (unless dal and phi injuries are bad then maybe not). still dont think they lose but that more likely than winning by 10+....since when does "needing a win" ensure anything? both teams banged up and they both middle of the pack teams at best. hell lets throw the rest out and just talk about your "if eli doesnt turn it over more than once" comment, you honestly trust him not to have 2 turnovers?

Phi rushing yards against stl last week were somewhat deceiving, not to mention speed is what kills them, i do not think gmen will have the ground success you are looking for here. do believe they should be able to take adv of rams secondary but at the same time likewise Bradford can make plays on nyg, both teams weak in the secondary is a understatement. yes nyg has more weapons to exploit the weakness but they also have a qb who can and will make mistakes. Wouldnt worry about Bradford as he has been throwing accurately in practice all week.

Motivational wise both are starring at trouble with a loss here so dont see either being more ready than the other, both banged up, coaches know each other very well. In the end i see a really competitive gm that nyg more than likely wins but far from comfortably, but wouldnt be the 1st time i was wrong and certainly not the last..... the great thing is someone has to cash...BOL

Rams still learning new offense, which won't help w/ crowd noise on road

                                                                      Nicks is going to play

I mean, at the end of the day, seems like Giants will get it done, and maybe "nick" (good pun) a late TD to cover the 7...but honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if Giants start fast and roll Rams either...I won't be risking a bunch on this one, either way.
oh yea no way im risking much. got 2 open parlays (not very big), 1 with stl +7 and one with over 44, purposely did these with atl and the 1st half under last night on top of my straights cause i really didnt want to be invested much in this one. May add a nyg/ov teaser..

i can make cases for why Amendola being out is really no big deal and maybe even helpful, cant say the same about Sjax but do think his absence forces rams to open up a little which is what i think stl needs to do to nyg anyway.

ill give you nyg being the better team but think it is marginal, neither very good. i suppose nyg could come out fast and roll but dont think coughlin has it in him to come out guns blazing, he will look to pound the rock and while they may have some success doubt they can just run over stl, rams are also historically much tougher in the 1st half than the 2nd (last few years anyway).

not sure if this is true but ive heard the crowd noise is no where near the issue in the new stadium as it used to be.

on the bright side if Nicks hits one late to cover it will prob go over and He is also on my fantasy team so that wouldnt crush me.
