Anyone read "Lay the Favorite"? Movie details
Beth Raymer---wrote a book about the offshore sports gambling industry titled "Lay the Favorite".

It was released last year and was pretty good.

Well, now it is a movie---and Bruce Willis, Vince Vaughn and other are in it. It was filmed in Vegas during this past spring.

They are announcing a release date for it tomorrow.

Anyone read the book besides me? If you gamble offshore----read it, it is pretty entertaining.

I'm pretty sure Brock Landers and jjgold are not endorsing this movie.

        Fantastic book

What a great movie it'd be. Vince Vaughn is the perfect guy to play a rogue bettor.

Agree completely. Vaughn is playing the role of Roxie, and he is going to be incredible.

Bruce Willis can also go the skivvy route.

Is it one of those stories where gun play, kidnapping and car chases happen? Or is it a look into gambling and the life of degens/sharps?

The book is funny-----it is a first person account of what her life was among the offshores. And yes, it is full of liars, cheats, thieves-------very honest look at the industry.

Would SBR_John make a cameo? According to JJ he is the most powerful man in offshore industry.

But jj is a tool bag. I saw them filming at Rio when I stopped in to see a friend.
