these contracts these guys put out there, in the nfl, for the public to read are ridiculous....its all fluff...so these guys can get some headlines.....and feel like they are making money on par with nba and mlb stars......this contract is worth basically 12 mil a year for the next 3 years(which is less than john fuckin lackey)......3 years from now is about the estimated time table when peterson will slow down into current tomlinson territory....hell prob squeeze a 4th year out of it if he stays healthy....

Couldn't agree more with this. Maybe it makes sense from a marketing viewpoint as he sells tickets but the recent Pats champs, last year's Packers without Grant... you could go on and on. You're right, you don't need a premiere back to compete for the ring. I'd much rather have a rock left tackle.
