2 unit play on the Detroit Lions +3.5 -112
Ok, looking at this game, the detriot lions have been playing extremely well.. The reason why the lions are successful this preseason is not because they are" awesome".. It's because they are more well rounded in their second string, so instead of having 1 amazing starting line up and 1 shitty back ups.. They have 1 descent starting line up with 1 not so bad 2nd string.. I know a lot of people say that 3rd week of nfl usually most teams like to play their starters a lot more, then use the 3rd stringers in week 4.. I think today though, Pats will use their bench more then their starters.. Patriots have this ego, this pride where they feel they don't need to in preseason.. So I think getting that half point edge over the 3 is a nice little insurance for us and I think Lions will either win outright over be able to cover that!
1 unit play on Pittsburgh Steelers -2.5
I like the steelers tonight as it's gut check time for steelers. They played very well last week and it shouldn't any different. It's always hard to play in Pittsburgh and Steelers back ups should play well again tonight.. Falcons have strong core but Pittsburgh's defense should match up will enough tonight to give Steelers the win tonight! As for 2nd string, I feel more comfortable with Steelers to get things done tonight and get us the cover!
