66,000 on a twin trifecta in the late 80's

twin tris were the best, too bad they wouldnt bring them back. But people got too caught up in pick 3s, pick 4s, place alls and all that. twin tris took a little luck and a little talent. Picking a straight tri in that second leg is pretty hard to do. So maybe thats why they stopped doing them. but I would imagine some of the big Cal tracks or special meets like Del Mar, Saratoga, or keeneland they might do well. but doubt they make a come back.

Won around £3000 on the rain-shortened Daytona 500 in 2009 - backed Kenseth and he happened to be leading when the rain came down - was quite lucky with that as he was looking like he was about to get overtaken had the race gone on another couple of laps !

I hit a big 8 team parlay a few weeks back that cashed in a little over $5K for me. Not a bad return on a $35 bet. Haven't hit anything close to that since.

The biggest straight wager I won was a couple years ago during the NHL playoffs. Won $500 betting on #8 Montreal to beat #1 Washington in Game 7, great game to watch on so many levels I matched that win a few months ago in tennis backing underdog Dominika Cibulkova against Vera Zvonareva, of course it was with a shit book that never paid up though

Not the biggest bet I won by any means but won a free $20 futures bet on the Detroit Tigers to win the AL pennant a few years back.Think it paid like 1300 bucks.I can't remember exactly.
