Silver Coin Melt Value Calculation
Submitted on August 8, 2011.
Values Entered:
Quantity:1Coin Type:1964 Kennedy Half DollarSilver Price: $39.34 / troy ounce
Answer:
Total silver value is $14.23.
Statistics:
» There are 0.3617 troy ounces of silver in 1 silver 1964 Kennedy half dollar(s).
» Each 1964 Kennedy half dollar contains 0.3617 troy ounces of silver and is valued at $14.23 when silver is at $39.34 / ounce.
» A roll of 1964 Kennedy half dollars has 20 coins and is valued at $284.58 when silver is at $39.34 / ounce.
Bid/Ask Spread:
In the past, most "junk silver" coins on eBay often sell between a +/- 5% spread of the melt value. For example, if you have a silver coin that has a $1.00 melt value, you should be able to find someone who's willing to buy/sell it between $0.95 - $1.05. However, the recent spike in the silver price has caused premiums to fluctuate wildly.
If you're planning to buy/sell 1 1964 Kennedy half dollar(s) when silver is priced at $39.34 / ounce, the final total may fall between $13.52 - $14.94 on eBay.

#18LOL.
I posted a thread telling everyone to buy Silver when it ws $14 an ounce, and everyone ( except glitch and maybe 1 or 2 others ) told me what a fool I was. Now it has tripled since then and here come all the silver threads.
Where were you Lemart when I posted the Silver thread 2 or so years ago when silver was $14 an ounce ?
Everyone is on that bandwagon now.Comment -

Would have made much more sense to start this thread when silver was $14-$16 an ounce. Now that it has almost tripled everyone is on that bandwagon.Comment -

#21I will let you in on a secret, lemart, if you buy in bulk you get it cheaper. I thought a guy of your financial standings would understand that, but its obvious your entire internet life is a complete lie. why would someone with common sense who has enough to buy silver bricks go after silver coins? Answer, because he has no money, or he is a complete fool. You sir qualify for both. Good luck convincing people you are worth millions while making worthless threads like this.Comment -

Dont let this loser get to you Lemart. He was in my silver thread telling me how dumb it was to buy silver at $14 an ounce. He was saying silver would soon collapse back to $5. Now its $41.

#24Nobs I read your thread and I agreed with you.I have been taking deliver of everything that has silver and gold in it .The upside potential here for Gold and silver is huge some people here are stupid.Central Banks don't take deleivery of gold unless they know what's going on this tells me that the mCro econic enviornment will continue to decline and precious metals are the only play .Comment -
