The US now has the same rating as China. The other two rating agencies still have the US at triple A, with warnings. The wild swings in the market on Friday were due to the rumors regarding the coming downgrade of the US.

Could be beginning of the end for US. The US has always been regarded as western world leader and economic center. Now the companies are global so if the american companies are doing well it will not save the US. Just food for thought.

Canada was downgraded in 1994 and in 1997 they were upgraded back to AAA. If the will is there, the US will get there again. It will get better Jan 20, 2013 or earlier let's hope.
