2 months is a long stretch tho... but you still have a nice schedule in the foreseeable future tho (unless you count the pirates).. gotta wait till the giants and dbacks come to down in the middle of august, then the phills in the begining of september to see what the braves are made of these days..

should be able to add a nice amount of wins to that total in the mean time though

K you win dlunc.. Phils 1.5 to 1 to win the whole enchilada is a great bet. I don't see anyway Atlanta even sniffs the Phils jocktraps this year.

all I wanted to say was, before crowning the braves the "best team in baseball hands down", I would like to see them beat a good opponent at least once in a series in the last two months, let alone win 1 playoff series in the last 10 years..

Thank you. Phils mgt has tried hard to win since gilliick left but winning needs a magical touch and the phils had all of that when lidge was unhittable and victorino /utley and rollins were rolling. I know baseball and have been winning in bases for a lot of years. I also know that u don't ignore teams with solid pitching( lesser names the better) and timely hitting. The phils are a paper tiger but there big bats haven't gotten the big hits in the last few years and it shows that the series is hard to win. Sports gambling is about finding value. The braves have value and the avg joe won't bet against the phils cause they have "names". Trust me take the braves to win the nl now and cash out later. Remember in 1993 the situation was the exact opposite with great pitchers for atl and the phils advanced as big dogs.

Don't underestimate the dog in sports. Smart gamblers make there money on dogs and rookies reload on fave betting. I'm done with this thread till the playoffs.

id be willing to say there are a few rotations in this era better then those rotations from the 70s.. players are much bigger/faster/stronger these days then back then. The braves rotation from the 90s are the rotation that the phills are chasing to be the best

betting value is def on the braves, not the phills... was under impression that this thread was not regarding betting.. if I was wrong i apologize for the clutter... it would be stupid to bet the phills right now--no value.. the best bet was to bet over 96.5 back in spring training
