They have been showing it "Live" on ESPN all day...obviously without showing hole cards.

Awful play because Deeb had Aces.

But if you've played against Deeb before, then you know how he will 5-bet bluff you more times there then the number of times he has QQ-AA.

I used to play against Deeb regularly online.. And when I was watching, I was thinking he had 7d8d or something similar.

There is a 30-min delay on the coverage, however, yes, a player could have someone watching at home on TV then text him the cards his opponent had. Player will get that info 30-mins later while still playing same opponent instead of waiting months to see it on TV. However, it really only effects 9-18 of the 1400+ players remaining.

i love this "live" coverage myself. i dont think its a 30 minute delay though. it starts on espn3 at 3pm est and the tourney starts at 12pst in vegas, dont see how that can be a delay, mite be delayed a few minutes.

Am I the only one that thinks this type of coverage is bullshit?

I usually like watching the WSOP but I ended up turning it off after about a half hour. I want to see the cards for every player on every hand instead of having Hellmuth guessing what everyone had.

hellmuth bashed the online players quite frequently. so they got their panties in a bunch. thats why i liked him. well one reason at least.

i thought he made a lot of good points and frankly dumbed it down a bit for the more casual audience.

he did give sands credit for being great online and transitioning well to the real world.

i liked this way more. you knew what was gonna happen on the other shows. this is more sophisticated IMO. i played the guessing game myself.

i saw negreanu on high stakes poker, dont think he commentated that well, was a bit all over the place. hellmuth had a plan stuck to it much like poker.

I don't know there was a lot of hands that I would have liked to know what they had like when the guy and his girlfriend were sitting next to each other and she raised his BB and dude thought about it for a bit but ended up folding. I think it would of been more interesting if you could have seen what they both had.

ya i wonder why they didnt show what they had every time, but they did show it quite frequently. my guess is that they werent gonna bluff each other, so she must have had a playable hand of some sort, pair or 2 big cards, probably not a small suited connector. he was probably weak and didnt wanna defend against her with garbage.
