Scully is in a league of his own, amazing really and he is no spring chicken.

Mets crew is the best rounded IMO.

I also like Hubie Brown in hoops (he knows the game), definitely not for his velvet smooth voice.

Clyde is a sleeper in hoops too. When you get past his swishing and dishing, he actually has a lot of depth in his analysis and feel for where a game is going.

Probably the best thing that happened to me was going nuts. Nobody knew who I was until that happened.

I think Gus Johnson is the most annoying. His schtick is good for highlight reels but the highlights don't show him using the same antics in a fifteen point game that sounds stupid as hell. the tournament is exciting enough with or without him.

joe buck was on the radio a little while ago. they asked him why he sounded like he did not sound interested in baseball anymore when he was broadcasting the fox game. he said he doesn't even like baseball and hasn't for a long time he said he's a football guy.

                              he said something like that

that's y when he does fox games it sounds like someone shot his dog it's because he does not care anymore

Keith Jackson is easily my favorite of all time. He was the voice of college football for years. Nobody has taken his place since he retired.

A nice part about growing up in southern California was:
                                      Vin Scully
                                      Dick Enberg
                                      Chick Hearn

To that list I would add:
                                      Al Michaels
Pat Summerall, he was better with Tom Brookshire than Madden
always thought the game of the week with Curt Gowdy and Tony Kubek was well announced.

He is the play by play radio announcer for the clippers and he is amazing. I tried to find some audio online, but all I could find were his interviews. He good at those too, but he really shines with play by play. It's too bad the clippers aren't better so that he gets more exposure. I also like that he's classy and that he doesn't exploit the athletes. That's not his style. You can hear his respect for the game and the athletes in his broadcasts.
