    Gout
Never knew what this was until my f'in big toe feels like I am being stung by hornets non stop. I could barely walk and have a limp now. Unreal. Too much beer and red meat. Anyone ever have an attack?

Gout was historically known as "the disease of kings" or "rich man's disease".

My boss has gout, he says its from eating too much seafood.

He has a prescription for some drug that helps with the flare ups, cant remember the name.

I hear it is very painful, they have daily meds that really help curtail episodes

I've had Gout for 19 years. I'm the youngest patient with Gout that my Dr. has ever treated. I didn't get it from my diet, I have been a vegetarian for 19 years and Vegan for the last 8. I take 400mg of Allopurinol on a daily basis to control my Uric acid level. When it flares up, it's the most painful thing in the world!

3 days is a long time. I get it right underneath my big toe as well. I take Indocine and colchicine when it flares up and Allopurinol daily.

If I take wha the Dr gives me tomorrow is it realistic I could be walking normally and the pain gone away by Monday? Lets say I didn't give a poop and didn't go to the Dr. how long would this pain last? I'm curious.

I don't get it but have a couple of friends that do.

Very painful as you well know.

From where you probably are now, for them it is about 3 days before they are not limping around. A little better each day.

                                Sorry man.

Had it a few times, doctor gave me indomethacin 25mg capsules. You will feel better the next day but it still hurts. 1st time it happened I thought I stubbed my big toe while sleeping. Hurts like hell, trying to change my diet so I don't get it again.

When someone takes medical advice from a 350lb so called tennis player who can't clip his own toenails they might as well slit their own fukkin throat
