Why and How is John Lackey still starting??
Diehard redsox fan here, Said it at beginning of year and i will say it again, easily the worst starting pitcher is baseball. I believe 1 poster from the boston area, dont recall his name, but poster originally claimed to be from Vegas, And i think he even started and made a video........Anyways that Capper claims Lackey would be just fine........ Listen the guy sucks and never was that good of a pitcher, He made his name by beating AL west teams when he pitched in Anaheim, unfortunately he now pitchers alot of Games against AL East teams and Cant make it through 4 innings againts any of them. Time to put this ******* Douchbag in the bullpen and leave him there, Im ok with Miller pitching in his spot when Buckholtz comes back! Comments Redsox Fans please............................

Sox trying to make it not be their worst signing in recent history so it has to run its course some. RIP John Lackey.

Houlihans.................... Money cant be a reason, They are already stuck on the contract............. Its time to move past the money and lackey at the same time.............He is hurting the team every 5th day and he isnt giving the Redsox a chance to win when he goes out there and gives up 4-6 runs in 3 plus innings. On top of that he is wearing down the bullpen everytime he pitches.

I've long since given up trying to figure out the whys and hows of these free agent deals. Lackey had arm trouble in Anaheim and that's one of the reasons the Angels weren't said to see him go.

Now Boston (sorry Footballtime) is on the hook for a guy who is only to get worse not better.

Lots of bad starting pitchers in the majors but surely Boston can do better than him.

they figured he would be 17-10 with a 3.95 era every year of that contract. no one here doubted it at the time

If Lackey had a mid level contract, and it was short term in length. The Sox would have cut tiesv with him. See Scott Kazmir

Lackey's is already in al west hall of fame along with every pitcher in the al west that throws a pitch vs al west hitters. 2 hit shutouts in the pacific time zones like they are going out of style. Pitch in the major leagues put a helmet on andk bb's hit at you from every spot in the lineup.
