You need to lose 3pts within a certain time frame and then you're automatically restricted from posting until the oldest infraction expires. Most infractions are only worth 1pt so unless you did something rather nasty, you'll be fine.

Or..... it could be that unless you let us know something has insulted you, then we're unaware of it unless it's so blatantly obvious as it was in Chile's case. Everyone has different thresholds - people rip into JJ all day long and he very rarely reports posts. Others get bothered when a poster says "boo". And then you get the guys who report every post under the sun because they're waging e-war against someone else, hoping they can get the guy banned. Alas, that doesn't work.

Mods need to at least read the thread titles on PT. If the thread title is insulting it needs to be taken care immediately without reporting it. Like if the title says: "Shari is a whore and likes black rooster" you shouldn't wait until someone reports it to take action.

Oh we definitely do. In fact, I open basically every thread that has a new post in it while I'm working. But not only is my shift at a time when a lot of people are sleeping so I can do that, but I also can't always judge what you'll find offensive or not. Some people get upset at mother jokes for example. Others laugh at them and just throw an insult back. So unless it's obviously nasty, we usually have to wait until someone lets us know they find it offensive for us to take action. If not then we'll be over-moderating and infracting people non stop for things that you might have even laughed at yourself.

You may need to go into the joeyp's section of the horse racing forum and let them know in there what happened here and get it clear. I am just relaying of what has been said. There is another forum also where there is claims also that I have checked out on. I don't know what happened here. I understand if he really did something wrong and I don't have the details of what happened so I cannot judge this. I just don't want anyone getting on to my computer and messing me all up also. I just hope that isn't the case here. I sure would not want that happening to me. Please just clear this up with joeyp and others there and that would help very much.
