Teams need balance, most already have four or more flashy african american players who don't play defense but can cross you over, dunk, and are fast on the break. The NBA needs far more white/european players to make the game more technical and tighter mechanics. If you get a healthy mix the game becomes more interesting and exciting than having five guys run up and down the court and first team to miss a layup loses like many games now. Basketball right now is like checkers and if you get a good mix of play types involved it will become more like chess flashy and fast but also technical and controlled.

Don't disagree with any of this. I would like to see an effort made to fuse the styles together though. I think it would be good for the game here and abroad. I can see your point though, not wanting your team being the guniea pig while trying to "get it right".

That is assuming Deron Williams ends up staying with the Nets. So that being said, its imperative to upgrade the team quickly. So I wouldnt be opposed to packaging 27 and 39 I think it is and moving up or trading for a veteran. AK47, Josh Smith, Josh Smith.. all being seriously mentioned.
