Montreal landing Jagr still doesn't make them a contender. I'd put my money on Detroit landing him. They have plenty of cap room (I think almost $25M), they need another scorer and they always take those grizzled vets for some reason (See Hull, Modano, Bertuzzi)
I think he'd be a good fit in Detroit and he would thrive there. I haven't seen him skate, but if he still has some wheels, then he might fit in real nice with Montreal, too.Comment -

even in his last 3 years in the KHL playing less than 60 games in a season the guy netted 19,22 and 25 goals.
19 goals in 49 games
22 goals in 51 games
25 goals in 55 games.
I dont' care what people say, this guy would be a solid addition to any team.....ANY.

Guy still looked good at the World Championships. He's always been a hard fcuk to knock off the puck and could still play 2nd line and top PP time. I foresee him missing 10-15 games due to injury though. Guy better still rock the mullet if he comes back.Comment -
